Neanderthal with Mammoth – an Ice Age snapshot as an exclusive PLAYMOBIL special set

Created in cooperation with the Neanderthal Museum Mettmann, special set 72540 Neanderthal with Mammoth was developed to mark the museum’s 30th anniversary and a themed special exhibition by diorama artist Oliver Schaffer. The figure is based on a Neanderthal on display at the museum, highlighting an important chapter in human history. The set depicts a hunter who lived around 40,000 years ago and roamed the mammoth steppe during the Ice Age. It is aimed at museum visitors, collectors, and anyone interested in prehistory and archaeological research. The special figure is available exclusively at the Neanderthal Museum Mettmann.

Contents of the set:
- PLAYMOBIL Neanderthal with spear
- Mammoth calf
- Leaflet with information about the museum and the historical background

“Neanderthal with Mammoth” recalls the world of the Neanderthal. The detailed design, which even takes into account an arm that was broken during the individual’s lifetime and healed with differently developed musculature, makes the set a special souvenir and collector’s item connected to the Neanderthal Museum Mettmann.
