The Black Forest Couple – a modern love story in the tradition of the Black Forest as an exclusive PLAYMOBIL Special Edition

The PLAYMOBIL special set #71927 "Black Forest Couple" was created as a limited special edition on behalf of Baiersbronn Tourism and continues the story of one of Germany’s most well-known regional PLAYMOBIL figures. Following the great success of "Black Forest" (#71979), developed on behalf of the Black Forest Tourism Association, the new set continues her story: Marie and her publicly sought-after sweetheart become the Black Forest Couple. The characters Marie and Hannes represent the vibrant traditional costume culture of the Black Forest, whose most famous symbol is the Bollenhut. While Marie originally appeared wearing the red Bollenhut associated with unmarried women, she now wears the traditional festive costume of a married woman in the new set, recognizable by the classic black hat. As a high-quality collector’s edition, the set combines regional identity, cultural heritage and contemporary storytelling for collectors, culturally interested customers and partners connected to the region.
